Keynote Speaker Rev. Dr. Nate Landis is President and founder of Urban Youth Collaborative (UYC), a coalition of churches that support student leaders at over 75 middle and high schools in San Diego County. Thousands of young people share spiritual and physical food with friends each week as they discuss the big questions of life. Nate’s passion is to share how Jesus brings hope, healing, and the purpose of eternity into young lives. He is an ordained minister and evangelist in the Presbyterian Church (USA) who speaks often at churches, schools, and conferences in Southern California. He serves as Pastor to Schools at New Vision Christian Fellowship, a multi-ethnic urban congregation in North Park. In 2006, Nate made the smartest decision of his life and married his best friend, Angela. They have three fun loving and adorable kids: Russell (8), Rocco (6), and Allegra (4). Dr. Landis holds a B.A. in Sociology and Youth Ministry, a M.Div. (Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary), and a Ph.D. in Religion and Ethics (Claremont Graduate University).
David Schmus has taught Social Science and advised the Christian Club at Los Altos High School in Hacienda Heights, California, for 15 years, where he has been repeatedly honored as Most Inspirational Teacher. Since 2010 he has worked with Christian Educators Association as a leader in the Daniel Project, speaking at conferences around the country to encourage Christian public school teachers. A graduate of Talbot School of Theology, David taught Biblical Worldview classes as an adjunct professor at Biola University for 14 years. He has recently joined the staff of Christian Educators Association as Outreach Director of Membership. He and his wife Elizabeth have been married for 24 years, and have been blessed with three daughters.
Eddie Espinosa is currently Principal at Jordan Elementary Orange, California. Eddie has a rich experience in worship leading, songwriting and recording with the Maranatha Praise Bands and with Vineyard Music.
